1½ C raw cranberries
1 C sugar
3 C. sifted plain flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Juice of small orange
1/2 chopped pecans
3/4 C. undiluted evaporated milk
1 egg, beaten
3 Tab. melted butter
2/3 C. chopped candied dates

Directions:
Directions:
Wash berries and run through a food chopper using the coarse blade. Mix with 1/4 cup sugar. Sift flour with 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt Stir in nuts. Combine cranberries with the flour mixture. Stir evaporated milk into orange juice in a small bowl and add egg and butter, mixing well. Blend egg mixture into flour and bake in a greased loaf pan for hour in a 350º oven. Makes 1 loaf.
