2 C. flour (sift before and after measuring)
tiny bit of salt
1 tsp soda
1½ C. sugar
1/2 C. Crisco
2 eggs
4 rounded soup spoons cocoa (put in cup- add boiling water to make slightly soupy paste)
1 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing:
1/2 stick margarine, melted
6 T. evaporated milk
3 C. sifted powdered sugar
8 level T. cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat 2 eggs in. Add cocoa. Add buttermilk and flour alternately. Add vanilla. Bake 2 - 9 inch pans 375º for 30 minutes.
