12 c. rolled oats
3 c. shredded unsweetened coconut
2 c. raw wheat germ
½ c. powdered milk
1½ tsp. cinnamon
1½ tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. honey
1 TB vanilla
1½ c. nuts (walnuts, sliced almonds...), chopped
raisins, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, powdered milk, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. In a saucepan heat butter, honey and vanilla just until warm. Pour this over oat mixture and stir well. Spread in thin layer on 2 to 3 large cookie sheets. Bake at 300º for 45 – 50 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes. Let cool, then stir in raisins (if desired) and nuts. (Sis. Rebecca toasts the almonds with everything else.) Store in an airtight container. Yield: approx. 20 cups
