4 cups dry Anasazi beans
1 Ham hock (leftover in freezer from Christmas)

Not necessary to soak Anasazi. Put beans in cold water in a pan on the stove. Bring to a boil. Place ham hock in until heated thru.
Put the ham hock in crock pot first then put hot beans and soup into the crock pot. Cook first hour on high.
Take out the ham bone, remove any meat from the bone and place into the crock pot and throw away the bone.
Add enough hot water to fill the crock pot, taste and season with salt to taste
Turn on low and cook on low until ready to eat. Serve with corn bread, sliced cheese and green onions
