Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce Recipe

½2 Cups milk
¼ C. butter
½ C. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
2 large eggs or 3 medium eggs
6 Cups dry homemade french bread pieces with crust removed
½ C. golden raisins



Bourbon Sauce
1 C. packed brown sugar
½ C. butter
2 T. whipping cream
4 T. bourbon

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º

Heat milk, butter and sugar till hot.
In large bowl, cinnamon, salt and eggs with wire whisk until blended. Stir in bread crumbs and raisins. Stir in milk mixture. Pour into ungreased 8" X 8" baking dish.
Place this dish in a 13" X 9" baking pan fill boiling water into pan 1" deep.
Bake uncovered 40 min or until knife inserted 1" from edge comes out clean.


In heavy saucepan heat butter and sugar to boiling, over medium heat. when sugar is dissolved add cream and bourbon.

Serve over warm bread pudding.
Store extra sauce in refrigerator.
