4 quarts thin sliced squash
5 large onions sliced thin
1/3 cup salt
5 cups sugar
3 cups cider vinegar
2 tablespoons celery seed
2 tablespoons dry mustard
1 tablespoon tumeric

Directions:
Directions:
Mix squash, onions and salt in a large pan and let sit with crushed ice for 3 hours. Drain well. Mix sugar, vinegar, celery seed and mustard together. Let come to a boil and add tumeric and squash mixture. Let it come to a rolling boil, then pack in jars.
