2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup applesauce
3 cups flour
2 tsp. of soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup raisins
2 bananas (mashed)
1 cup nuts ( can be added if desired)

Directions:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add applesauce and bananas. Shift flour, soda, salt and spices. Mix and add raisins and nuts. Bake in oven for about one hour. Ice with favorite icing.
