2 ½ cups sifted flour
1 cup shortening
1 tsp salt
1 egg
½ cup cold water
1 Tbl vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening until it looks like cornmeal. Beat egg. Combine with vinegar and water. Mix together with a fork.

Makes two 2-crust pie shells.

Bake at 450º for 8 - 10 minutes.

Karen's note: I usually make several at a time and freeze. They freeze well, using waxed paper between shells and sealing in airtight container. This is the only pie crust recipe I have used that turns out!
