1 ½ cups sugar
3 Tbl flour
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup margarine, melted
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups raw apples, coarsely chopped and peeled
1 10-inch unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and flour together. Add eggs, margarine, spices and vanilla. Stir in apples. Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.

Bake at 425º for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350º degrees and bake for 30 minutes or until done.

Aunt Betsy, affectionately known as Meemaw, was famous for her pies. We could be sitting around the kitchen table gossiping and she would go to the freezer, pull out 2 or 3 pies, put them in the oven and soon the most mouth-watering pastries would be ready.
