º375. 8-10mins. Chill 1 hour

1/3 recipe Trio cookie dough(see recipe)
2 Ounces semisweet choc. melted and cooled
2. teaspoons milk
1. Recipe Peppermint Filling
1/4. Cup chopped candy canes or hard peppermint candy

1. In medium mixing bowl combine the cookie dough, chocolate, and milk. Mix till thoroughly combined.
2. Shape dough into 8” long roll. Wrap in l
Plastic wrap or wax paper. Chill at least 1 hour
3. Using sharp knife cut into 3/4 inch slices. Cut each into quarter inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on cookie Sheet(ungreased). Press down with thumb(or use thimble)
4. Bake see top. Transfer to cooling rack
5, Spoon in peppermint filling and choc. candy


Peppermint Filling: in small bowl beat1/4 cup butter with mixer, 30 secs or till soft. Gradually add1 cup sugar , 2 tbsp milk, 1/4 tbsp peppermint extract and red or green food colouring. Gradually add the remaining sugar

1 batch (1/3 cookie rec.)36 cookies. Make full batch of dough chill in 3 logs, Petfect for cookie exchange(bite sized) Don’t spread.
