2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar (not packed)
¾ cup Crisco
2 ½ t baking soda
6 T molasses (or 12oz a double batch)
2 ⅔ cup flour
1 t cinnamon
1 t ground ginger
¼ t salt

White sugar for coating dough balls

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs. Add sugars, shortening and molasses and mix thoroughly. Mix in the remaining ingredients (it will be a stiff batter). Cool dough in refrigerator for at least one hour. Roll dough into small balls. Roll each ball in sugar and place on cookie sheets. Do not flatten. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes
