2 cups flour
2 sticks butter
3 egg yolks
½ cup water
2 T white vinegar

Filling:
1 box prepared angel food cake mix
maraschino cherries- cut into pieces
ground pecans or walnuts

Cut butter into flour like pie crust. Add in egg yolks, vinegar, water and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Divide dough into 4 balls. Roll out into a rectangle on a floured counter and add more flour if necessary if dough is too sticky.

Filling:
Prepare cake mix as directed. Spread a thin layer of batter onto the dough. Sprinkle some cherries and nuts on top of batter. Roll up dough very loosely. Carefully tuck in ends. Put onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or so.

Makes 4 strudel
