12 oz strawberry jello
2 cups flaked, sweetened coconut
2 cups pecans, finely chopped
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
red sugar (you need a fair amount of this)

Plastic berry stems....you can buy these online and they are used for marzipan.
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all ingredients except red sugar. Form into small balls and then pinch the ends of the balls to form strawberry shaped candy. Roll in red sugar. Put on drying racks. These will harden as they dry.... I usually continue to fiddle with the shape while drying. Insert a plastic stem on the wide end. Makes 5 dozen
