Notes: This cabbage slaw has been in our family since I can remember. Mother may have chopped her carrots, bell pepper, and onions instead of slicing them as I do now. I prefer to slice them because it makes the slaw more appealing to the eye and gives more the slaw more volume, in my opinion! It has become a family favorite and is served every Sheffield Christmas with Denise and Carole's Pit BBQ and Brunswick Stew. I also add my homemade baked beans to the meal.
