Cake:
1/2 C. Margarine
1/4 C. whipping cream
1 C. brown sugar
3/4 C. pecans
1 pkg Pillsbury Devils Food Cake mix
1¼ C. Water
1/3 C. oil
3 eggs

Topping:
1 ¾ C. Whipping cream
1/4 C. confectioners sugar
1/4 t. vanilla
Whole pecans (optional)

Chocolate Icing:
1/2 stick margarine melted.
2 C confectioners sugar - sifted
3 Tablespoons cocoa.
1 t. vanilla
crem.

Make praline mixture:
Combine butter, 1/4 C. whipping cream, brown sugar. Cook over low heat until butter is melted. Pour into 2 - 8 or 9 inch pans. Sprinkle coarsely cut nuts over mixture.

Cake:
Combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs. Beat 2 minutes at high speed. add 1 t. vanilla, carefully spoon over nuts. Bake 325º 35 - 45 minutes.

Make Topping:
Beat 1 ¾ C. whipping cream to soft peaks.
Blend in confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks form.

Chocolate Icing:
Mix melted margarine and confectioners sugar sifted with 3 T cocoa and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Add cream until right consistency.

Assemble cake: Place one layer nuts .Spread 1/2 whip cream mixture and repeat for 2nd layer. Repeat with cream garnish, whole nuts, refrigerate.
