4 slices of bread, (suggestions: 9 Grain Oat Bread or Texas Toast or Sour Dough)
Butter
4 Eggs
2 TBS Milk
1 tsp almond or vanilla flavoring
Cream Cheese
Jam or Preserves (suggestions: Apricot, Strawberry,Blackberry)
Top with butter, sifted powdered sugar, syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat skillet or grill to medium high. Melt ½ stick of butter.

Mix eggs, milk, vanilla in shallow dish

Prepare a sandwich, using cream cheese on one slice of bread, and jam on the other slice.
Cut the sandwich in half and dip each in egg mixture.
Cook in the melted butter.

When brown on both sides, serve with a dab of butter, a sprinkle of powdered sugar, and/ or syrup.
Makes four pieces of stuffed French Toast.

For a diffferent taste, exchange the cream cheese with peanut butter. Garnish with fruit on the side and strips of crisp hickory smoked bacon. Enjoy
