Family favorite and I had quite forgotten where I got this recipe until I found it in my mothers cookbook saying it was my recipe.
Over the years we have made a lot of these candy cookies. My girls and I made them, but Chris really loved them. One year the girls came home to make cookies with me. Chris was upset he wasn't allowed to make cookies. He wanted to make the recipe assuring me he could do it. He was about 9. Well long story short we had a lot of these cookies. I had to go to the store and buy more ingredients because the milk already triple on my recipe had been triple by Chris. The cookies covered the entire dining room table.
