1 cup light cream or milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
½ cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
½ cup white sugar
¼ tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
1½ cup canned pumpkin

Directions:
Directions:
Heat light cream (half-and half) until scalded. Mix beaten eggs with sugar, salt, and spices until smooth. Stir together cream mixture and pumpkin, mixing until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425º for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 350º. Bake until butter knife inserted in the middle comes out clean, an hour or more total.
