DOUBLE RECIPE OF GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST (SEE PASTY CRUSTS)
2 OR 3 BANANAS
½ GALLON ICE CREAM - SOFTENED
1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
12 OZ PKG SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
½ CUP BUTTER
2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
1 ½ CUP EVAPORATED MILK
1 TSP VANILLA
1 PINT WHIPPING CREAM

OPTIONAL - CRUSHED PINEAPPLE, MARASCHINO CHERRIES CAN BE ADDED

Prepare crust, reserving 1 cup for garnish. Press remainder of crust in bottom of 11x15" pan. Layer sliced bananas over crust. Spread softened ice cream over bananas and sprinkle with nuts. Freeze until firm. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, melt chocolate chips and butter over medium heat. Add powdered sugar and milk. Cook mixture until thick and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Cool. Pour over nuts. Freeze. Whip cream until stiff, adding 4 tbsp sugar gradually. Spread over chocolate. Cover and freeze.


Remove from freezer a half hour before freezing. Can be kept frozen for weeks.
