1 CUP SHORTENING
1 ¾ CUPS SUGAR
2 EGGS
1 CUP THICK SOUR CREAM
1 TSP SODA
½ TSP LEMON EXTRACT
1 TSP VANILLA
4 ½ CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
¼ TSP SALT

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs and flavoring. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar; bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
