1 stick oleo or butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1½ tsp baking powder
¾ cup milk
1¾ cup sliced peaches
½ cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º and melt the stick of butter in a 9" x 13" pan. When melted, remove from oven. In the meantime, mix sugar, flour, baking powder and milk and pour over oleo without mixing. Add sliced peaches or pears on top. Sprinkle remaining sugar over the fruit and bake for 30 minutes.
