1 pkg chow mein noodles
1 lb ground steak or chuck
1/2 c onion
1 (10 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 c diced celery
1 1/2 c water
1/4 c soya sauce
1/2 c long grain rice (uncooked or raw)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp cooking oil or bacon dripping

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté celery and onion in oil or fat until clear. Remove from pan and then brown meat in same pan. Add onion and celery to meat then add balance of ingredients and blend well. Transfer to large, shallow oven dish, which has been greased. Bake at 350ºF for one hour. Sprinkle pkg of chow mein noodles on top and continue to bake for 10 min.
