COMBINE:

2 CUPS WARM WATER
¼ CUP MELTED SHORTENING
1 TBSP SALT
1 TBSP SUGAR

ADD 7-7½ CUPS OF FLOUR TO FORM STIFF DOUGH
KNEAD 5-8 MINS
LET RISE IN WARM PLACE 1-1½ HRS
PUNCH & LET RISE 30 MINS
DIVIDE DOUGH INTO 3 PARTS
SHAPE INTO LOAVES & LET RAISE FOR 1 HR
BRUSH WITH BEATEN EGG
BAKE IN 425º OVEN FOR 15 MINS & THEN LOWER HEAT TO 350º & BAKE 30 MINS MORE
