Ingredients:  
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. lard
1 c. molasses
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ginger
3 tsp baking soda
4 1/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream lard, add sugar and molasses. Add 2/3 c. cold water. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix well with first mixture. Chill before rolling. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes. Top with powdered sugar icing and brown sprinkles.
