3 tbsp butter plus 1 tbsp olive oil
6 -8 cloves garlic, minced
2 scallions, greens only, sliced thin
4 tbsp chicken stock or boullion
1 tbsp sugar
¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
8 oz noodles (thin egg noodles, raman, or angle hair pasta will work)

Cook the noodles as per the package instructions, drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat butter, olive oil, garlic and scallions over medium heat. Stirring often for 5-7 minutes and don't let the garlic brown.
In a small bowl, mix the stock and sugar.
Increase the heat in the skillet to high and add the stock mixture., let cook for 30 seconds. Add the noodles and toss with parmesan cheese. Let the noodles cook for a minute to soak up the flavour.
