1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. milk
2 eggs
½ tsp. salt

Thirty minutes before beef rib roast or boneless roast is done, mix all ingredients with hand beater just until smooth. Heat square pan, 9X9X2 inch pan or cast iron fry pan, in oven. Remove beef from oven; spoon dripping and add enough melted shortening, if necessary, to measure ½ cup.
Increase oven temperature to 425º. Return beef to oven. Place hot dripping in heated pan; pour in pudding batter. Bake 10 minutes. Remove beef; continue baking pudding until deep golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes longer. Cut pudding into squares. Serve with beef; best covered with warm gravy.

This was Dad's favorite with roast beef. When Mom first made this, she found a recipe and made and actual pudding...This is the correct recipe!
