Sunday breakfast were special in her grandmothers German household. She baked a coffee cake that is about the easiest yeast coffee cake ever put together. It does not need kneading but it does take a little rising and baking time. The butter dots dimple the top of the cake and melt through the baking dough so you get the full rich taste of baked butter on the bottom. This kuchen is open textured and rather hearty not cake fine.
