1 lb beef round steak
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup flour, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder
1 cup beef broth
1 can (4 1/2 oz) mushrooms and liquid

Directions:
Directions:
Remove fat and bone from meat. Cut into thin, narrow strips. Dredge in flour. Using a large skillet, quickly brown meat on all sides in hot oil. Add onions, broth, thyme and liquid from mushrooms. Cover and simmer about 45 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Heat but do not boil. Serve over rice or noodles that have been cooked.
