French Toast Casserole Recipe

1 loaf of french bread
8 eggs
2 cups half and half cream
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
salt

Topping:
1/2 lb of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of chopped pecans
2 tbsp. corn syrup
½ tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Slice the bread 1" thick(to about 20 slices)
Arrange the slices in a buttered 9 x 13" pan in 2 rows, overlap the slices
In a large bowl combine the eggs, half and half, milk, sugar and beat until blended.
Pour over the bread making sure all the bread is covered.
Spoon some mixture between the slices.
Cover with foil and put in the fridge over night.

Topping:
Mix all the ingredients together and spread over the bread mixture.

Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with maple syrup.
