6 CUPS (6 MEDIUM) PEELED, SLICED COOKING APPLES
1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
1 TBSP WATER
¾ CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
½ CUP UNSIFTED FLOUR
½ CUP ROLLED OATS - MINUTE OR REGULAR
1 TSP CINNAMON
½ CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Combine brown sugar, flour, rolled oats and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Place apples in 8 or 9" square pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice and water. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples and bake 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
