2 CUPS SOFT OR DRY BREAD CUBES
½ CUP RAISINS
2 EGGS, SLIGHTLY BEATEN
⅓ CUP SUGAR
⅛ TSP SALT
¼ TSP CINNAMON
1 TSP VANILLA
2 CUPS MILK

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Place bread cubes in lightly greased 1 quart casserole. Sprinkle with raisins. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, cinnamon, vanilla and milk. Beat well. Pour over bread cubes in casserole. Set casserole in baking pan with about 1 inch hot water. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Serve warm with caramel sauce (see recipe in "sweet sauces").
