2 CUPS BUTTERMILK
2 CUPS UNSIFTED FLOUR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP SALT
½ CUP MELTED BUTTER, SLIGHTLY COOLED

Heat waffle iron to medium.


In medium bowl, combine dry ingredients. Combine buttermilk and eggs in small bowl and whisk to break up egg. Add buttermilk and eggs to dry ingredients and stir with whisk until blended. Add melted butter and whisk gently until lumps are pretty much gone.


Spray waffle iron with nonstick spray. Pour about 1/3 cup batter onto waffle iron and close lid. When steaming has stopped, lift lid and carefully remove waffle with fork.


If using sweet milk, increase baking powder to 4 tsp and omit baking soda.
