½ CUP FINELY CHOPPED NUTS (OPTIONAL)
2 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR
¾ CUP LIGHT CORN SYRUP
½ CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
2 CUPS HALF AND HALF

Directions:
Generously butter 8x8x2" baking pan. Spread nuts on bottom of pan. Heat sugar, corn syrup, butter and 1 cup of half and half to boiling in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining half and half. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently to firm ball stage. Immediately spread over nuts in pan. Cool completely. Remove from pan and place on large cutting board. With a very sharp large knife, cut into desired sizes.
