1 ½ c. creamy peanut butter
½ c. butter, softened
3 c. siften confectioners' sugar
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 T shortening

Directions:
Directions:
1. Line baking sheet with waxed paper, set aside.
2. In medium bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and confectioners' sugar with hands to form a smooth stiff dough.
3. Shape into balls using 2t of dough for each ball. Place on prepared pan and place in freezer.
4. Melt shortening and chocolate together in a small metal bowl over a pan of lightly simmering water. Stir constantly until smooth and remove from heat.
5. Remove a few balls from the freezer. Insert wooden toothpick into ball and dip most of the ball into melted chocolate. Place on wax paper, chocolate side down and remove toothpick. Repeat until finished.
5. Refrigerate dipped buckeyes for 30 minutes to set.
