1 c. shortening (1/2 margarine / 1/2 butter)
1 tsp. salt (easy on salt)
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 c. sifted flour
2 c. finely chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening with salt, vanilla and sugar adding dry ingredients gradually. Cream well.

Add sifted flour and chopped pecans and blend.

Shape stiff dough into little balls slightly larger than a marble. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake on 350 for approximately 15 minutes. Remove from pan and quickly, but carefully roll hot cookies in sifted confectioners sugar. Cool, then roll again in sugar and store in airtight container.
