4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
5 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 Tbsp anise extract
½ lb margarine
Chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Melt margarine.
3. Mix all ingredients together.
4. Take small pieces of dough and roll into worm. Make knot.
5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes.

Confectioner's sugar
Warm water
Anise extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. Make a paste of sugar and water. Then add a little anise extract.
2. Dip knots in icing.
3. Sprinkle with nonpareils.
