1 (3lb.) cabbage
1 lb. dry cottage cheese
2 eggs
1 small onion
¼ cup butter, melted
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup cooked rice
1 can tomato soup
2 soup cans water
½ pt. sour cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Core cabbage, separate leaves, wash under hot water. Let stand until leaves are pliable. Force cottage cheese through a sieve. Add eggs, onions, butter, rice and seasonings. Mix thoroughly. Place 3 tablespoons of filling in each leaf and roll up. Tuck in open ends. Shred remaining cabbage. Spread over bottom of large kettle. Arrange cabbage rolls on top. Cover with remaining cabbage. Combine tomato soup with water. Pour over rolls. Simmer for two hours. Serve with sour cream thinned with liquid. Serve hot.
