1½ c butter
1 c sugar
1 t baking powder
1 egg
1 t vanilla
3 ½ c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter on medium speed of mixer. Add sugar and baking powder and mix well. Add egg and vanilla and beat until creamy. Stir in flour. DO NOT CHILL
Fill cookie press. Press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes until edges are firm but not browned.

Chocolate spritz
Substitute ¼ c cocoa for part of ¼ c flour

Marbled spritz
Divide dough in half before adding flour. Add 1¾ c flour to one portion and 1½ c flour and ¼ c cocoa to other portion. Place portions of both doughs alternately in press to marble doughs.

Coloring and different flavors can be added to the dough as well.

Sprinkles can be added by brushing with beaten egg whites, and sprinkling before baking.
