40 saltine crackers
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. chocolate chips
1/2-1 c. chopped pecans

SALTINE TOFFEE CANDY
Cover cookie sheet with foil and butter. Place one layer of saltines on foil. Melt butter; add sugar. Boil mixture for 3 - 4 minutes. Pour over crackers and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven 6 - 8 minutes. Cool 1 minute. Pour chocolate chips evenly over top. Let soften and spread with back of large spoon. Cover with nuts. Refrigerate to set. Break into pieces and store in metal can in refrigerator.
