3 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp. oil
½ tsp. caraway seeds
¼ tsp. marjoram
1 tsp. salt
1 to 2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. vinegar
2 lb. beef, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 c. dry red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in oil until tender. Add caraway seeds, marjoram, salt and paprika moistened with vinegar; mix well. Push to one side. Add meat and brown well on all sides. Mix with onions. Pour in wine, cover tightly and simmer for 2 to 2½ hours, or until meat is tender. If necessary, add water sparingly during cooking. Serve with noodles.
