1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2-3 good sized apples - peeled
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. white sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk

Glaze:
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1-3 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. butter (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix together and set aside in a small bowl the 1/3 c. brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
2. Shred, mix and set aside the apples, 2 tbsp. white sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
3. Cream together 2/3 c. white sugar and 1/2 c. butter.
4. Add to butter mix - 2 eggs, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder.
5. Add to flour mix until smooth - 1/2 c. milk

6. Pour 1/2 of this batter into a 9x5 bread pan.
7. Spread 1/2 of apple mix on the batter.
8. Sprinkle 1/2 of brown sugar mixture on top of apples and lightly pat into batter.
9. Repeat with remaining batter, apple and sugar mix. Swirl the brown sugar mix thru the apples for even distribution.
10. Bake for 55-65 minutes at 350º or until toothpick comes out clean.

Glaze:
Mix together glaze ingredients and top the bread after it is cooled.
