2 c all purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 c shortening
3/4 c milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425º

Mix dry ingredients well. Cut in shortening. Add milk and stir with a fork until a sticky dough forms.

Place on a lightly floured surface and kneed about 10 times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a large round cookie cutter (3 inch works well for this)

Place on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Add fresh herbs or sharp cheese for a nice change. Raisins work well too!
