10 Tbl butter, softened
3/4 c packed dark brown sugar
2/3 c molasses
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbl ground ginger
1 Tbl ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

Beat the butter until creamy. Add the brown sugar and molasses. Cream the butter mixture on medium speed, scraping the bowl as necessary.

Beat in the egg and vanilla Until well combined.

Whisk all dry ingredients In a separate bowl. Add the mixed dry ingredients in pot rations, so as to not have flour fly out of the bowl.

Dived the dough in two. Wrap in plastic wrap, flatten slightly and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350º.

Roll the dough to 1/4”. Flour as needed today prevent the dough from sticking. Cut as desired and place cookies on parchment lined baking sheets. Reform and reroll scraps.

Bake for 8-11 minutes, depending on your oven.
