3 lbs. beef (chuck is a good cut for this) cut in 1½” cubes
3 lbs.carrots, sliced thin
2 cups white wine
2 large onions, chopped
2 bay leaves, thyme, salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper the meat.

Brown the meat in a heavy casserole. Add onions and lower the heat. Add about ½ cup of the wine, thyme, and bay leaves. Cook another hour until tender. Serve with ion and roast potatoes.
