2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1¼ cups sifted flour
½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. anise extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs till light for about 10 minutes. Add sugar, tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition. (This takes about 10 minutes).

Sift flour, baking powder and salt onto wax paper.

Add flour mixture gradually to egg mixture, blending after each addition.

Stir in anise extract.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets, leaving 1” between. Let dry several hours or overnight in a cool place.

Bake in 325º oven 12 minutes or until firm.
