1/4 C oil
1 C cubed chicken or pork
1 C cubed ham
1 medium onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
4 leeks, sliced
3 C Chinese cabbage, shredded
1/4 lb Chinese noodle (mei)

3 eggs
3 Tbsp milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 C celery, chopped
1 1/2 C bean sprouts
Ketjap Manis to taste
Sambal oelek to taste
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Saute the raw meat in a wok with hot oil until brown.
Add the onion, garlic and ginger.
Saute until the onion is just tender.
Add the ham an simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
Pour into a fry pan and fry to make an omelet.
Remove from the pan when done and cut into strips.

Add the leeks, celery and cabbage to the meat mix and simmer 5-10 minutes.

Add the cooked noodles to the meat and vegetable mix.
Add the bean sprouts and heat through.
Add Ketjap, sambal and lemon juice to the mix and gently toss.

Serve on a platter and top with omelet strips.

Another favourite! My dad loved to cook Indonesian style meals and this is the version he perfected. I have made this so many times that I no longer need the recipe. It is adaptable, easy and scrumptious!!
