1lb ground lamb or beef or chicken or turkey
1 medium onion
2-3 green chillies
2 pieces cinnamon sticks
1 tsp fennel ( big jeera)
4 cloves
2 tbsp oil ( for lamb use slightly less as it is fatty)
1/2 to 1 tsp turmeric
1 dessert (2tsp) spoonful masala
Dhania leaves for garnish
1 cup frozen peas
1 tbs lemon juice
1 tomato chopped or grated or about 1/2 to a cup of canned tomatoes that have been crushed .
Ginger/ garlic crushed about 1-2 tsp
Salt as needed ( less is more!)

1 Sauté’ fennel, cloves and cinnamon on medium heat, until fragrant.
Add oil to pot and add onions and fry until slightly brown then add curryleaves and turmeric.
Sauté then add masala and sauté for a minute or two.

2 Add ground meat to which a tsp lemon juice and ginger and garlic has been added.
Sauté until pink disappears while stirring and breaking up the pieces of meat as you go along.

3 Add tomato and chillies.
(turkey meat is bland so more chillies may be appropriate)

4 Microwave the peas and add just prior to serving,
Add salt as needed.

Vegetables- you could use potatoes,pepper squash,cauliflower florets or sweet potatoes.
Usually about 1:4 ratio with meat except for peas which are tiny veggies so 1 cup to 1lb mince meat.
