Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 can Hunt's crushed tomatoes
1 large can Hunt's tomato paste
˝ small to medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp fresh parsely and/or basil or 1 tsp dried
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 to 4 Tbsp dry red wine (optional - this really adds a nice flavor if you have it)
6 to 8 thin slices pepperoni, chopped, or leftover pork, Italian sausage, or ground beef, cooked (optional - I usually add whatever I have; most of the time it's pepperoni)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cover the bottom of a pan with oil. Sauté onion over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent.
2. Add cooked meat, if using, and garlic; sauté, lowering heat, for a few more minutes.
3. Add crushed tomatoes and paste, wine, and spices and stir,
4. Simmer 20 minutes to 2 hours. You will get a slightly different taste if you simmer 2 hours, but 20 minutes is also good. If you do simmer longer, sometimes you need to add a little water.

This recipe is for 1 lb pasta.
