12 Cucumbers (sliced)
6 Medium Onions
Salt
3 Cups Vinegar
1 Cup Water
2 Cups Sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Celery Seed
1 tsp Mustard Seed
1 tsp Tumeric

Directions:
Directions:
Slice cucumbers and onions. Soak in salt water for 2 hours. Drain and add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. Put in jars and seal immediately. Cool and then keep in refrigerator.

Everyone in the family likes the bread and butter pickles best for hamburgers on the grill, or even ground up and put in bologna salad. Grandma McConnell even uses the juice to put in her potato salad.
