"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
7 ounces Bread not fresh cut into cubes
up to a pound of fruit-I used to use rhubarb and saskatoons, but berries, and orchard fruits are perfect
3 eggs
1-2 "tassen" milk (that is very vague I realize, but about 1 cup I would assume)
6 "loeffel" sugar- what is a loeffel? a large spoon. Very vague again, but use your own preferences here.
sprinkle of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Layer the bread cubes and fruit in a greased casserole. It doesn't say a covered casserole, but I always covered mine. Beat together the milk, eggs, sugar and salt and pour over top. Cover and bake at 350º for about 30-40 minutes. This can be served as a simple supper meal with vanilla sauce, the recipe I will add.
